Shifting rod broke.

I have a 1 inch body lift with a 2 inch suspension lift on my 03 and I really need some help on this I've tried welding it twice but it continues to break right near the trans. I was wanting to know are there any extended shift rods? Not the ones that just extend the handle. It would have to be a single piece or else it would hit the dash and stuff whenever I shift. I couldn't find anything online as well.
 
Sorry to hear man. This is one of many reasons why body lifts are no good.

I have never seen extended shifters rods for these trucks or any truck for that matter. You may need to fab up a spacer.
 
Thanks man and Ya something like that or like a sleeve but I just want it to be permanent not temporary. I'm going to try and go find a original/stock one and see how that works out.
