Every vehicle I've ever owned has acted the same when the brakes were wet, less initial bite. I'm pretty sure it effects the slotted rotors I'm running slightly less, but they have never been MORE grabby when wet as the op is stating.Could be because you have slotted rotors. I've always felt touchy brakes when wet in different vehicles.
U beat me to my last post...Dunk them at Azusa in one of the river crossings and they get real touchy. Not sure why it happens.
Actually, after I wash the truck and pay attention to scrubbing/blasting brake dust off of the wheels, I drag the brakes when I first start moving... Gently, and at a slow pace for only a couple car lengths I suppose.
I've done this many times with many vehicles, same with large puddles sometimes.
My 09 does the exact same thing and always has..I have a 2015 double cab 4x4 V6 which does this the first time I touch the brakes. I think just in the mornings when they are damp. After the first time braking, they are fine. They don't lock up, just seem very sensitive with very little pressure applied. Doesn't bother me since it's been doing it since new.
