Toytec lift? Ride quality an performance?

For a budget lift? I cant afford a $1000 dollar lift. I know it has to be better than the trash rough country puts out.

Buy once, cry once.

Keep taking small steps and its gunna cost more.

Been in an acces cab with the toytec ultimate at 3" and it rode like ****

Its around a grand...

U cant afford it, so that isnt the lift ur speaking about i guess.

Give us a part number, otherwise we are just throwing darts with a blindfold on and a wolf latched on our nutsack.

I dont know thats why Im asking. Ive owned a 05 an now my 07, but never lifted one. What is the progressive aal? Pardon my ignorance, I just dont want to waste money on junk. Thats why im asking about this lift before I commit to purchasing it.

Progressive add a leaf is a rear leaf spring that is added to the existing leaf pack to gain lift.
You can get bilstein 5100 shocks up front and in back with old man emu (OME) coils for about $600 and AAL in back is less than $200 you’ve got a great solid lift for around $800. If you can install it yourself. Otherwise a shop is going to charge a few more hundred to install it.
You can do this lift in a few different budget stages.
Buy the bilstein 5100’s $400 and put them on to level the front, later buy the rear AAL less than $200 then raise the fronts to level again.
You can buy the bilstein 5100’s and the 1.5” AAL set the bilstiens to notch 3 or 4 add the coils later.

I have a 2015 double cab 4x4 V6 and went from a leveling kit to the Toytec Boss lift kit. It improved the ride quality but as others have stated it is still a little stiff. It came highly recommended by some here. If you are running oversize tires that have aggressive tread for off-road it's going to be harsh regardless. I don't have any experience with OME so I can't compare. But I think the spring rates are about the same and the Toytec shocks are somewhat bigger. I would NOT try lifting more than 2 1/2" and in fact 2" would probably give the best ride. I am at 2 1/2" and considering lowering to 2". You will also experience some handling differences. Lifted trucks tend to wander a little on the highways.

tires have more impact when they are load range E, and or overfilled.
All terrains/tweeners/street tires shouldnt ride any different.
Muds will, but muds are another animal.

OME have differing rates and lengths, 2 different shocks depending on front end weight.
Toytec offers the 600# and 620# coils made by eibach.

maybe their longer 600# coils are on par with OME now. Im running 620s and say its smoother than stock. Ive ridden in a dbl cab with a 3" OME lift and it felt smooth.

wandering could also be alignment issues, new upper control arms are suggested past 2"..... 2.5" is iffy, and 3" is pretty much neccesary on 2nd gens.
wandering could be inflation as well.

Im sitting at 2" of lift and have ZERO wander, and ZERO groove hunting unless I have the tires filled above 40psi, which is almost never.
