Transmission flush

Is there anyway to do a transmission flush yourself?

Mark a bucket for one or two quarts. Pull the return from the cooler and run it to said bucket. Start the engine and fill the bucket until your mark. Kill the engine and fill the trans with new fluid at the pan. Dump the bucket and repeat until you have gone through all the fluid capacity.

Running through the gears will flush the valvebody.

Do this at your own risk.

You can do it. I took my own in because I didn't want to deal with it but I may do it this time around.

I have an automatic so how would i go thru gears? And itll all drain out eventually?

You shift through the gears like normal...Yes you will eventually get all the fluid out.

I think you should leave this to the mechanic.

My uncle used to work on a souped up truck and made one faster than a corvette. If i showed him would he probably get it?
