NAPA has a monthly sale going most Valvoline gear oils are marked down pretty good, in fact this 75w90 high performance is $6.99 qt. is a Full Synthetic oil I always assumed it was conventional, I called the Valvoline tech section after reading the description PDF says ester synthetic base stocks they confirmed it as a full synthetic although no mentioning that on the bottle at all, The 80w90 version also in the white bottle IS A conventional oil, so if you need to get some Diff and transfer case maintainence check out NAPA.

I don't screw around with gear oil after having some not so good results with other brands in past trucks when towing. Found its hard to beat 75w90 amsoil severe gear oil. This stuff will stand up to heat when towing long distances with its extreme pressure additives. Probably overkill for just a daily grocery getter.

if you got the money for the good stuff i would use it, my trucks a 2013 with 160k miles plus im on a limited budget so i want to start using economically friendly parts that get the job done too, its hard to find parts anymore that are up to snuff, mostly Chinese, that would be better to pay a little more now than alot later and get the good stuff, im trying to walk that line with researching stuff before i buy anything then try to make a logical choice.
 
I ran amsoil severe gear oil in my tundra twice as long before changing it than your common over the counter gear oil brands. Over time I feel it paid for itself with far cleaner, and better looking/smelling spent gear oil than when I use to use mobil 75w90 that always had a burn't odor after only 30k miles.
