What's happening to this Forum?

When I joined this group 3 years ago, there was a lot of discussion on a lot of topics. It was interesting and educational to be here.

Now, on the Maintenance Forum the last post/reply was Friday.

On this forum, there have been only 7 posts/replies in the past week.

That other forum posted 15 in the last half hour on topics related to 3rd ten tacos.

Why is this?

Yeah, can't lie, I'm guilty of checking that other forum more often nowadays... partially because I have a bookmark to the OVtuned M/T thread... theres like 5 new pages everyday and vF tuner was just released for us 3 pedal guys... lol

Anyhoo... this forum is kinda like the ocean while you're relaxed on the beach, it comes in waves... it'll perk up soon... I'm sure the virus stuff has everyone spending more family time together rather than on their devices... maybe it's a decent thing... As for me, my wife is a provider so even though we finally are together again, she is working crazy hours... so here I am... lol.

I posted a pretty funny story on another thread tho... trying to stir up some activity... lol

I look at the other forum too. Was a registered member till one day I got banned for "spam". What "spam"? I didn't even post that much and can't get to the administrator or get any response. Anyway I'm here and have received many suggestions/ideas for my ride and I'm thankful to all. I like this forum.:)
 
i really only have time for one forum, and this family made me feel so welcome...even though im adopted, hehe. i find the fun-loving folks on here to be just as cool as their trucks, and i get to learn new things without the double shot of machismo. :)
 
Maybe its just me but I like this forum much better than the other one. Sure, I check out the other one from time to time but pretty much turned off by all the so called "experts and know it alls" over there. This is a friendly bunch here, almost like family. When BC took his short leave it was like part of the family was missing. People here offer their opinions, preferences, and recomendations, its never you have to do this or you're stupid for doing that. Just a much lighter atmosphere here.

Me too there is good people here .some of the other forums were nasty at times no need we're just here to have fun gets laughs and learn a few things about our tacos we enjoy ! IMO. Thanx
 
As mentioned above, I like the overall atmosphere here. I try to log on at least once a day (i love the games![emoji16]) to try and keep up.

This is a forum of people who love Tacoma trucks and who like to feel welcome, not wondering how many people will bash them for posting a pic of their latest mod.

I am a member of "The other forum" and they have some great info as well, but I dont feel like I belong there because I have a 2 wheel drive SR5. Over there if you dont have a 4x4 you are a wimp and nothing you say matters.
 
I troll the other forum from time to time.

It takes a lot, but I managed to get a 7 day ban not too long after I joined.

Not that it's a bad thing, but I think 80% or more of them sink thousands of $$ into mall mods.

You have to have a TRD sticker on the sides of your bed too!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels alienated by that other forum just because I have a 2 wheel drive SR5. I think some of them over there had to buy their masculinity with a TRD 4x4.
