Weird sound under DS dashboard at highway speed. Sounds like an alert, but is intermittent. Nothing on dash panel shows up. Sounds like light buzz. No other symptoms. What is it?

Without being able to hear the sound it’s going to be hard to Dx. Can you get a video or recording of the sound and post it. That would help a lot.
Thanks.
What year and submodel?Weird sound under DS dashboard at highway speed. Sounds like an alert, but is intermittent. Nothing on dash panel shows up. Sounds like light buzz. No other symptoms. What is it?
It's a 2015 Tacoma Access (2 door) 4cyl with just under 23,000 miles. I've owned it for one month and haven't noticed the noise before taking the truck on a 200 mile run at about 80 mph using cruise control. When the noise happens, it's softer than, say, the seat belt alert, but it's a similar sound (tone) and beeps only a few seconds at a time. It's a random, intermittent sound not over three or four seconds long at the most and sometimes just a short beep. I can't make it happen nor does anything show up on the dashboard indicators or nav system. Thanks for responding to my post. Sorry I can't be more specific. What year and submodel?
Hmm well. I would take it to Toyota. The truck should be under warranty. It may be something aftermarket that a previous owner had on the truck. Unless you bought it new... Yup, i did that at work... set 1 to "meow" and placed it in the ac vent in a drop ceiling in the breakroom. We actually had a guy put these all around the building at work. It will drive you crazy until you figure it out. Lol

That’s a tough one man. Do you have any aftermarket products installed at all that could be causing it? Did someone leave a phone in there or something electronic that could have had a reminder alarm?
Otherwise like @kp.taco said, it may be time for a trip to the dealership if it’s under warranty.

Thanks. Yesterday they contacted a Toyota service manager with over 30 years experience and didn't get much help. Now they're following up on some online suggestions. Glad it's under warrantee. That sucks. Hopefully they figure it out.
That's interesting. Today the people I was dealing with gave up and suggested I take the Tacoma to a Toyota dealer owned by AutoNation. I wondered about using a tape recorder to see if the sound could tell them anything without having to take it on the highway. It's frustrating because it's so intermittent. I couldn't get it to make the noise this morning. Please let me know if you find out. JimI have a similar problem with my 2015. I just bought it from a local dealership. I took it on a trip today at interstate speeds. That's when I discovered it. I googled "wind noise toyota tacoma". I found a thread on another site that included a video with sound and it was the exact same thing I had. One solution that was suggested was a service bulletin that replaced the windshield. I'm looking into that tomorrow. Another theory was the side mirrors. I'm not so sure about that.
