The BS Thread To Rule Them All!!!

Falkens are too heavy a tire if you do a lot of asphalt mileage, plus they're noted to have more rolling resistance than most tires. I hear from everyone thats had them, you get cappy performance, and fuel economy with them vs michliens when your dealing with high priced tires, but they are impressive if your just going by their looks.

They falkens were damned impressive in the snow packed streets a few years back at deep below sub zero temps
VERY impressive they were

Same for general grabber at/2 tires in deep snow when towing a trailer back home from upstate ny during a blizzard one winter with my tundra. Even the duratrac goodyear guys were impressed.
We'll need to see how these current kumho all season tires are. I was surprised to see the snowflake mountain symbol on them being all-season. So far they ride noticeably smoother, and are glued to the road surface in the rain than the stock firestones ever were.

I think my truck takes the same size as that 2nd gen. My truck took 245/75 P 16's, but I'm sure they have the same type tires for that 2nd gen if a different size.
As far as cost, I called around getting prices from 3 different tire companies in my neck of the woods. Some charge less for the tires, but more for every service needed, so take that for what its worth. Installed otd from town fair tire was about $850, that included a wheel alignment.
Oh yeah, you'll likely need new sensors by now if they were never replaced.....that will up the cost big time. I'm not a big fan of those generic ones either.

Found another use for all these jalapeño peppers that I grew. They've made some killer jalapeño cornbread, plus I've added a few diced up into my world class meatloaf for extra flavoring.

Heard some breaking news if one decides to go camping at any of our national parks that they've run out of toilet paper, and don't have the funds to buy more due to our government shutdown.....so for now you must bring your own tp.

Are the parks where there is an entrance fee totally closed?

Well, all you need is the ability to read.
Btw, it's a good time to do any touchups on your taco's rust inhibitor program before it gets any colder.

Just got back home. I had a set of kumho ht51 crugen all season tires installed. Had them do the alignment while I was there....they found the toe minutely off which was another $76. All in all $835 for everything otd. While michelin is a great tire, it cost a lot more to. I'm kind of funny when it comes to buying tires. I don't like paying a lot for anything thats going to wear out, especially tires.

i could only get them to deal 983$ for four and does NOT include alignment but does include the 35$ per tire road hazard coverage

the falkens were measured down to 4/32 so at the bottom minimum of needing replaced after 65k miles

new falkens and michelins i was quoted to near 1300$ for four

You're getting hosed. We have a 1/2 dozen large tire dealers within 25 miles of where I live. I got prices from 3 of them. Town Fair Tire beat them all. If you bought 4 tires from them you got a 4 wheel alignment for $76. Road hazard was an extra $8 per tire which I didn't take. There was a minor disposal fee of the old tires that they went 1/2 on. Tires themself were $156 per tire. Other fees were for for mounting, computer balancing, and tax.
Btw, I've read many reviews on michelins....they're overpriced, and have some of the worst tire reviews, saying they're not what they use to be.
