After installing the TRD Start/Stop button, I was having issues getting the original chrome trim ring to seat properly. I informed MESO and he asked about an earlier trim ring fitting situation. I said my neighbor did and he never used the ring. MESO sent me a new correct fitting trim ring...

I think the greatest percentage of all owners of our trucks don't really have any issues. But there is always few, and they seem to make it to the forums. I'll bet even high end vehicles like Mercedes and the like have their share of issues. After all, these are man made. :D

A bunch of little stuff came in the mail this week, so installed them today. Changed that ugly front license plate "box" to a more clean look bracket. MESO customs climate trim rings and TRD start/stop button were next. Then the black steering wheel overlay emblem and finally, glove box...

I'm with you on the low profile center cap. Didn't give it much thought 'till now. I would check with a tire/wheel shop in your area. As I posted before, if you have a "Discount Tire" shop near you, that would be a good start.

I would not put a lot of trust in what Consumer Reports always say. Look at the sales numbers of the Tacoma. Thousands on the road (and off), especially 3rd gen. More Tacomas out there than other trucks in this class like Ford, Chevy, Nissan, etc. We have a great truck.

I know Chevy is trying hard, but it looks too "chunky" for me.

Try Discount Tire. They have always been helpful to me and seem to know their stuff.

Nice looking wheels, I mean really nice. If you're getting them from a tire/wheel store, have them do a fitment test first with the tires you want. Then you will know what offset (if any) you will need. Are you going with 17's? Keep us posted. Oh yea, did I say nice looking wheels?

I also have a 2020 TRDSport. I would stick with 17's. I think they look better on the Sport. Also, maybe there are more options on 17" size tire styles. Post some pix when your project completes.

I have a 2020 and no insulation either. I asked the same question about this on another forum and consensus is that it is not needed. (?)

Any difference in the mounting of the two applications other than the valving difference? Have 3rd gen Tacoma shocks take offs, maybe fit the 4Runner?

Does that HPS part do anything to improve gas mileage?
