BTW... the front bumper had a bad dent. I screwed on some model train tracks to hide it. They look just like the new grill. I replaced the grill too.
A body man said getting that fender rust repaired is "throwing good money after bad", so...
I just covered it with a band aid. 3M foam auto tape and a prayer may get me through a couple more years, 'till my ship comes in....
Just got the Taco back today after second try at a local garage.
Now, it runs perfectly.
They said the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve wasn't being read accurately by the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).
It was either closing too soon or too late....
They had to reset the TPS to the ECU...
I had parts of mine replaced. About $1,100.00. I'm trying to get Toyota to reimburse me for it.

Answered the "why" in next reply. My real problem is... the small plastic nut-shaped devices are breaking and I can't get the lights to move either way. I could break off the plastics and vice-grip the metal but if they're frozen in the lamps... I might as well piss on them..lol
Three things. The front bumper was tagged by a Caddy coasting backwards into me, the driver's side bumper was slighted on an icy snow pile and I installed high-brightness bulbs. Also, I just wet-sanded, cleaned and UV spray-painted the lenses.
