The 2018 F-Series Super Duty Limited is Ford's first $100,000 pickup. Their most expensive vehicle behind the GT super car83DEB25D-DC6C-45BF-B26D-A2CCD17BE791.jpeg

I read about this earlier today. In my opinion that’s ridiculous when you can buy a brand new 4-Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra for that much money.
Each to their own.

Problem there is the Runner, Tacoma and Tundra can barely tow themselves around. Your paying for the towing and hauling capabilities besides the luxuries that are in a class above any Toyota product except for maybe the $90K Land Cruiser.

I'd buy it if I could afford it and needed it.

That’s where the each to their own comes in!
Agreed there’s more luxury and towing/hauling capacity and one needs to choose the right truck for what they plan to use it for.
My Tacoma has plenty enough towing capacity and payload for what I’ll use it for. If it squats it won’t kill it.
I’ve watched Toyota trucks my whole life from the 22R up haul ridiculous loads/trailers that you think would gut the motor and drivetrain. But they just keep ticking.

Old Toyota vs new stuff. The new stuff blows up and/or rusts just sitting.

That’s a little harsh. The new stuff isn’t that bad. The third gens haven’t really had a chance to prove their longevity yet but I’m sure they’ll be fine. As the ones that came before.
I do miss the old stuff though for sure. That goes for Chevy, Ford and Toyota. They had some great motors over the years that are lost to emissions and technology.

I wasn't naming names but the new Tacoma is not off to a good start. My truck has not let me down but that's not to say I haven't had issues. Sagging is going to happen but it shouldn't below half capacity.

Agreed there. No excuse for that at all. I also hate all the stories of people being lied to and misguided by Toyota dealerships.
All of the brands have their issues. There isn’t a perfect truck. I had a 1500 Silverado (that was totaled) before this Tacoma. I loved the drivetrain, tow capacity, and power of the truck. Truly no drivetrain issues. It was all the other crap: leaking roof, constant radio malfunctions, constant blower motor malfunctions, etc. It was an electronic nightmare with too many recalls to count.
It literally turned me against Chevy. There’s horror stories from all the brands.

Plus just about everyone is partial to a brand. Jeepers, Ford and Chevy guys. It’s a lot easier to look over the flaws of a Toyota if you have drove them for years. Even if you aren’t a hardcore fanboy.
That’s one thing I’ll give you credit for whippersnapper. You definitely don’t pull punches with the honesty about the trucks. lol. You earned the Negative Nancy title but you always give sound advice to these guys on here.
I guess that’s why you have all the trophy points.

You could buy the new Chevy 3500HD 4WD High Country Crew Cab loaded and a Tacoma pro loaded for the same price.
You could buy a small fleet of base Tacoma 2wd trucks.
You could buy 3 used freightliners or one new Semi truck.
That’s not cheap for a new truck. It better have a really special seat in it.
Wait two years you’ll be able to find one for $50k lol

$133K for a nothing special day cab:

New Land Cruiser starts at $83K with the LX starting at $89K.
My point exactly you can get some bad ass vehicles for $100k.
Depending on the semi they range between 90-150k new so yeah you won’t get a loaded Luxury sleeper but used ones all day for $40-80k. You can get one for $100k and tow 1,000,001 Miles. I’m thinking that Ford won’t hit 600k miles towing everyday.

The LC and RX aren't "badass" in my book and have nowhere near the capacity as a F350. They are use as status symbols at the mall. A semi just isn't practical for most people.

The Fords can last a lot longer than you think with proper maintenance and you see more of those on the road than the LC or RX even at their price.

Sure thing Comrade. Nothing like a Communist Eastern European throwaway car.
I haven’t seen one of those turds in years.

I had a neighbor who inherited one from someone, it actually ran pretty good, for a short time, damned thing even had
A/C, the compressor was 2/3 rd's the size of the motor...
