2012-2015 Tacoma Grille Insert Interest Level?

Hey all,

As some of you know, I designed and fabricated a grille for the 3rd gen and am currently getting ready to work on the 12-15 model.

Gauging interest level here, how many of you might be interested in doing an initial group buy to fund the CAD work and initial order with the fabricator?

Here's what my 3rd gen's look like. Design will be similar, but on a smaller scale.

He's been asking $250 (soon to be $275??) for the gen3 ones. Can't imagine they'd be more than that considering the gen3 has a nose as big as Shock G or Gonzo.

agreed, 2nd gen has MUCH less material to swap than that big ass screen door of a 3rd gen

Heck I just got my hands on a spare grill this past weekend and was looking for an insert with an led bar but I have to admit that looks pretty sweet

I wonder how much they rattle being on a grill where the support structure is a plastic frame. Lightbounce sucks

I think those inserts command like $800 dont they?

And then ur stuck on the bar size.

I hadn't even thought of that ={

Yea the prices on them are ridiculous considering the amount of work you still have to put into them just to get them installed... but I do think they look nice, as for the bar size I wasn't all that concerned because I like to keep things flush and subtle but I honestly hadn't thought about them bouncing around...

I hear ya on the flush part.
They look stupid imo when they stand out

that will be the next one i work on once i have a 12-15 finished and producing some capital. you'd be surprised at how expensive all of this is

Lookie what I got today! Hope to have it mounted and some good product shots for everyone on Monday or Tuesday. I'm hoping to put the group buy in motion by mid week and get these suckers done by Thanksgiving, if not sooner!

Seen lots of install videos on putting grills like this on. Realistically how much of a pain in the ass are these to install?
