2012 Tacoma Airbag light is on

Noticed today that the airbag light was on:

1st it said passenger Airbag
Now it says airbag
No changes - nothing done on the truck except new tires this morning.

Solid red light, no flashing. When I turn on the key, it says Airbag on.

Any idea what is going on here?

Bojangles, thanks very much. I checked , no luck. I am dropping it off at Carmax for a check. Covered by my 90 day warranty. I don't like their service dept. much, sales side is ok. i will post what happens.

my 2010 says passenger pretension short in squib ckt. I did replace the pass side seat belt when I got the truck 4 months ago. i tried to clear it with my scanner.
I'm gonna mail in the module today to ebay for about $40 to see if they can clear it up. It's located in the center on the floor area under the consoles. my pass air bag light by the emergency flasher button too saying it's turned off too.
