2016 Tacoma Offroad 4x4 3" lift

I have a 3" lift with 18" Rims and 275/70/18 tires. The tires rub on the metal in the wheel well bottom at the frame mount. My suspension guy wants to cut this section. I'm not sure that this is a good idea. Should I get smaller tires instead?

BMC Body Mount Chop on my FJ and Taco with no problems ! Just weld plate over the opening and paint!

Ouch .How big of lift I have a 16 and I was trying to decide if I should give it a little lift or just level it.

Ready lift 3inch suspension on 16 Tacoma what size tires can I run without scrubbing 265/70? 275/65? 31/10.50? What size

I ended up going with a smaller tire 275/65/18. Rides and handles much better. I'm averaging around 13.5 mpg around town.

First off your taco looks good, but Go Big or Go Home, Hard to say that about a taco, it is already one of the smallest trucks on the market. Just saying

Has anyone seen a 2016 tacoma with a 3" lift with 275/60 R20. will that work or do I have to go 55?
