OK, this is sort of a selfish thread. I've loved the Cement color ever since it came out. I wasn't willing to pay the premium for the Pro model though. Now that it's coming to the TRD Off Road I'm seriously tempted. My one hold back is the drivers seat.

Anyways, here are some pictures it. Feel free to add your own. This thread could be very expensive for me!

I actually like that the Tacoma still has a manual adjustable seat. Less headaches in the future. Plus, nobody drives my truck but me so it never moves after I got it set just right the first time. [emoji23]

I feel like their is nothing basic about my 2017 off road other than the manual seat. It’s power everything and tones of computerized electronic features. At this point power seats aren’t going to change the risk of failure ratio. It’s just going to give the driver more comfort and ability.

That is a debated issue about the tacoma, and the general consession is that nost tacoma owners opt for manual seat vs power seats. Two it costs more for a gimmic on a non luxury car, better cost more on other options on the car rather on power seats...

Lack of options. Pay $40k for a vehicle and it has no power seats, it’s 2018 get with the times Toyota.

Being 6’3” Taco lover I can’t benefit with power seats. I’ve been asking for the back glass to completely roll down for 15 years. Sequoia,Tundra, and 4Runner all have power back glass that slides down. This is what I’m ready for Taco to get with the times on.

what I am planning on: 2018 / off road / cement / leather / JBL audio / color matched rear bumper.

the only thing I can't seem to get building it online is the color matched bumper.... because as soon as I try to select that option, it tells me I can't do that with cement.... yet I see that one pictured in the beginning of this thread has a cement rear bumper, not the chrome. was that a special order? any thoughts?

That Toyota had the front of this thread does not have a color matched rear bumper ... that can be ordered that way. The sides and bottom of the bumper match, but the inset step part is black. They are all like that. When the Toyota builds talk about color matching it is regarding the wheel guards ...

Check out this pic of my inferno colored Taco from the back ...

The black step part is NOT color matched, but the sides are.

Yours will come with the color matched rear bumper. It comes with the technology and premium packages. If you are getting the premium package it will have the color matched rear bumper. There is 3 options two technology packages and a premium which adds the JBL. Sports will have the color matching fender flares. Off roads will have the black.

You could almost call it navy gray as well... beautiful truck for sure...

Yea. That's what the website says but whenever I pick that option it says it cannot be had in cement. Maybe just a fluke.

Thx for replies guys.

I have one identical to this on order. It was built last week, so I'm hoping to take delivery of it within the next few weeks. I'll post a pic or 3 when that happens.

I have several gripes, but I bought one anyway. First and foremost... drum brakes at the rear wheels. There's just no excuse for drum brakes on anything in this day and age. The tilt/telescope steering column may as well be fixed, since it barely moves an inch in any direction. It's almost completely worthless. No button start/proximity fob for the manual transmission models. But, you can get it on a $20k manual shift Corolla all day long. Someone needs to talk to these guys about this nonsense! lol

Drum brakes have been around for over a century. They work great and last forever. I actually like them.
I never noticed the tilt/telescoping wheel being an issue.
