It could tip the column up a little higher I always liked the 18 wheeler position vs the gran prix position on the tilt .IMO I'm 6'2"" and have better leg room than my 03 tundra and I have a sun roof to boot !

Drum brakes on the rear are fantastic. Sure, if you only drive on road, you might want discs (for ease of pad replacement), but the rear does so little in braking, you really gain nothing by going to discs. What you do gain (by having rear drums) is less crap getting stuck in them off road.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. lol I grew up riding dirt bikes in the woods and fields around central Illinois. There was nothing worse than crossing a creek and then not having brakes for the next 10 minutes. I never knew just how awful it actually was til one of my buddies got a newer bike and we discovered that it could still stop when the brakes were wet. I was hellbent against drum brakes from that moment on. That was about 30 years ago, and I haven't changed my mind. lol I realize they normally only do about 20-25% of the work, but that's no excuse for Toyota to drag their feet. It's a matter of principle for me, as well... meaning, for $40k, you should certainly not be getting inferior brakes, compared to an equally equipped Frontier that's 6k less.

Again, it's not the end of the world... I did buy one! lol

I'm not sure where you live, but where I grew up, they stick and squeal for the first 5 stops of the day during the humid summer mornings. And, if you get them wet in the winter, they freeze up once they cool after you park. No thanks. Even class 8 trucks (semi tractor/trailer) manufacturers offer an optional disc brake package. Drums need to die, unless you're making music with them! ;) We agree to disagree! lol

In any normal situation, I probably wouldn't have paid any real attention to the steering column, but I drive every domestic-built (as well as the occasional Japanese-built) Toyota product multiple times each day, and I just couldn't help but notice how little it moves compared to every other model. The best domestic ones are the Camry, Highlander, Tundra, Sequoia and the ES & RX350. I can easily get comfortable in any of those. The Rav, Corolla and Avalon aren't very good either, but nowhere near the Tacoma. I don't handle the Japanese-built models very often, but I do remember the 4Runner and Land Cruiser having very good, highly mobile columns.

On the upside of things...

IMG_0596(Edited).jpg IMG_0598(Edited).jpg I haven't actually taken delivery of the new ride yet, but here's a couple sneak-peeks of it when it landed in our yard on Sunday. I wanted to be the one who delivered it to the dealer once it came off the train, but I already had my loads dispatched for Monday, and they have to stay on-time. So, one of the other guys delivered my baby.
