This site isn't for everyone. As we discussed, we want to keep this site Family Friendly.
"Censorship"? OK... well everyone has a line and it just depends on where you draw it. We could allow racism, porn, verbal attacks, and all sorts of things on this site if we wanted to allow any and everything. I decided on a set of rules and that's what will govern this site. I think they are pretty basic and reasonable but no site is going to fit the needs of everyone. It's your call. Hope that makes sense.

For an Admin, that seemed pretty condescending as your other statement did. I think you should follow your own guidelines.

I was trying to respond without removing one of your posts. Something that you don't seem to like.
The purpose of this site is to build a community around Tacomas. Not a new concept but this site will be a little different than some others. One way it will be different is that it's going to be a family friendly site. Look, I got kids and I don't want to be afraid to visit the site with them around because someone posted a curse word in big font or there is an image I don't want them to see. I'm not mad about it and I'm not banning anyone over it... but I will remove it. I was very up front with this and posted the rules and opened a discussion about them. I'm not hiding anything. What I don't get is when someone is surprised that I actually enforce them.
I'm not trying to be condescending about this, I'm just trying to be clear. It's your call if this site is for you or not but read over the rules and make the call. I hope you can stay but if the rules are to much then so be it. I wish you the best of luck.

Definitely not a new concept and frankly a concept that has been beat to hell. I have offspring of my own, as mentioned in my build. Trying to police the internet is going to be tough one, I do wish you well on that endeavor but do remember, this is the internet and the majority of its users are going to be young adults. And while I do try to refrain from telling others how to raise their kids, hiding them from the scary world and expect them to turn out ok isn't going to help a thing. You teach your kids and introduce a moral compass for them to follow will go a lot farther. You can speak with any of my locals, there are a couple hiding on this site. I am all about advocating a family friendly environment, putting on yearly Christmas tree runs, even had quite a few grown men bringing pink **** to my place for my daughter's birthday. I have always advocated families introducing children to our outdoor activities and encouraging education to into the importance of exploration and the preservation of the wilderness we use. So honestly, there is a lot more to a person than being a keyboard guru trying to save the internet with censoring the f word. You should get to know people and their qualities before you start flexing your internet muscles and saying live with it or get off my website. I for one am educated and do need to be reminded of a conversation we had the day prior. There are a lot of websites for Tacomas keep in mind that you seem to have made it to fit your needs but the majority of us don't have the same needs you do.

I think we can just agree to disagree honestly. I'm not trying to knock you as a person, just be honest about where I stand on the family friendly thing. I don't want you to be shocked later when you realize what this site really is. Your call but hope you stick around.

I just don't see the point. I'm actually pretty flexible on a lot of things. Topics, colors, logos, features, contests, whatever... I'm fine to change and adjust this site as needed. The one thing I'm not flexible on is the family friendly nature of the site. I just don't think we will see eye to eye on it because we have two different world views. That's OK. I don't expect other people to have the same beliefs as I do. I'm just not going to host that type of content period. You see that as me "flexing my internet muscles" or trying to censor the internet. I just view it as living life by beliefs and running this site the best way I know how.
I seriously do hope you stick around but that's obviously your choice. I'm not trying to be a jerk when I say "this site isn't for everyone" ... just be clear that that one issue isn't really up for debate. Sorry to disappoint.
