AT Tire decision

looking for advice on the most aggressive looking AT tire I can put on a 2013 2wd pre runner with no modifications, looking at 265/75/16 trying to fill as much as the wheel well as possible and look as beefy as possible. If you have pics that would give me ideas on what tire that would be greatly appreciated, feel I've looked at so many I'm kinda snow blind as to which to purchase...

Duratracs, or Cooper St Maxx have my votes.

Tracs for light stuff
St maxx for abusing

Or if u wanna look cool as u slide around on wet pavement like 0w20 on a hens lips, u can run mud tires.

I think u want a tweener tire
Mud looks, large blocks, large voids.
AT treadwear and wet weather manners.

They will hum on the road due to the large voids, but get you the aggressive look and decent wear/wet traction I think u want.

any thoughts on nitto ridge runners yoko geolanders ??
The Nitto ridge grapplers are more of a hybrid AT/Mud tire. Look at the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac’s too. They have a $100 rebate on them until 12/31/18. I just put a set of them on and have been very pleased with the way they handle in all the terrains I’ve taken them on.

I'm running the Nitto Terra Grappler. They are fairly quiet tires and do fair off road. Price was right.

I've always heard good things about the duraTracs . May be my next tire

just catching up, I'll check out the dura's and tera's, someone told me about toyo open country were good ones as well?

Nitto and Toyo are the same
True.

There's only a handful of tire manufacturers due to buyouts, trade agreements, and sales driven decisions. Take a close look at some big companies you think are their own entity.
Even those stupid ass BFGs.

Take a good look, there's only 2-3 tire manufacturers in the US iirc.

It's almost as bad as the glasses/corrective lense companies/visions centers/op offices.

I like the Toyo open country AT's. I'm running a knock-off of it on the Tacoma but have liked the toyos on other vehicles. Good snow traction, good off road, better than expected in mud... no experience with the other 2 tires.

I agree with Crawdad. I’ve had Toyo Open Country AT on 3 different trucks and have been happy with them. I’ll put those on my 2010 Taco when I finally pull the trigger and lift it.
