Best time to buy a 2020?

I really, really want to purchase a 2020 model but am unsure if I would get a better deal if I buy now/before the end of the year or wait until January. Any recommendations?

You'd get a better deal on a 2019 now otherwise you can get a 2020 at any time. Toyota doesn't do much for deals.
 
From what seems to be a lot of interest around the 2020's I dout there will be many "deals" on them. If you want a "deal" youd probably do better on a leftover 19.
 
As long as there are still ‘19s on the lot, they are not going to deal much on a ‘20 for the very reason that you don’t want the ‘19. Others will want the upgrades that the ‘20 brings so they will sell at or maybe even above sticker depending on the market. When the ‘21s start trickling in, you may be able to get a deal but it might be a bit hard to deal before then.

Just bought a 2019, dealers would not move much on the 2020’s. Got a screaming deal on my TRD sport, also did very well on my trade. I would say if you can find a 19 with what you want on it pull the trigger. I got in on a great financing deal too, 1.9 for 5 years.

October or November of 2020 is the best time to buy a 2020 if you’re looking for dealer discounts and manufacture rebates. End of month and towards the end of the day is even better. Walk in 2 hr before they close on October 31st 2020 and pitch some super lowball number at them.
 
Deals always get better the later in the year. Have you looked into buying through the Costco program? I’ve done it twice now, most recently with my 2019 TRDOR. It was easy and I felt like I got a fair deal.
 
What I have noticed is if you find a dealer with Texas made Tacoma's, they will be better priced than the Mexican's built Tacoma's by about $3k.

For example my '19 OR premium/tech package listed for $41k Made in San Antonio and Today during my Sunday car lot surfing I saw a Baja California, Mexico built '19 OR without any packages list for $42.5k

I was lucky when I bought mine because I didn't notice this until today while surfing dealerships.
 
Picked up a 2020 Tacoma OR for 7.5% off invoice and 0.9% Toyota Financing, yes they’ll push a 2019 model on you, but I like the updates the 2020 offers. The LED headlights are awesome.
