Brake Popping

My 08 does that when I'm off-road. It's the ABS. If you push your brakes hard enough it'll make that noise. Although if your on road and it makes that noise every time then that may be a different story.

The pad floats, dose it make same sound like when from backup to forwerds?
The clunks noise is pads shift.

ABS will knot make brake "pop". If you has pop you has big prollem. ABS make pedal buzz and vibrates. not pops
 
My 2010 Tacoma makes a clicking/popping noise when I shift from drive to reverse or reverse to drive. Had it checked at the dealership and they said it's a combination of the pads releasing and the hubs (4x4) reversing direction. They said it's completely normal. First Tacoma I've ever owed and never heard this noise on any other truck I've owned.

Normal pad shift and or the drums if its been parked a long time especially in damp conditions.
