I do know the struggle
 
Better than my first car. I had a 89 Plymouth Horizon, lovingly referred to as “the whore”. Quite possibly the ugliest car of the last three decades. That thing was wrecked so bad that a milk crate held the seat up and bungee cords held the front end together. I sold it to a coke head in 2002 and he ran it/lived in it until after 2010. Lol.
 
6000$ for a car for a kid is insane, especially supercharged. Kids see the name supercharged and they think it's a race car. I would buy a 1986 Chevy caprice or a 1978 caddilac. Bigger and the more steel the better. I tell my kids whatever they save up that I will match for their first car.
 
I know exactly what you are talking about. I'm not looking for a Fast and Furious type of car just happen to have a supercharged.
 
Buy a new car when they are 5 and in 10 yrs they can have it. You’ll drive it for 10 yrs and you’ll know everything about the car, where it’s been and what’s been done.
