Catalytic shield?

My insurance covers it also but I’d rather prevent it in the first place. As much as I travel I don’t need to be halfway across the country and have it stolen. Add to that the potential availability problem.

I went with Miller Cat shield for mine. Cheap insurance to convince thieves to move on to an easier target.
 
this could be a good opportunity for a well-trained outdoorsy guard dog
just have her sleep under the rig or in the bed and keep watch when you are away from it
 
There are records of cats being stolen off dealer lots. One of our shuttle trucks were hit late one night. A guy with a sawsall can get under a truck, hack it out and be gone in 4-6 minutes. There are cases where the thieves are carrying guns and if you attempt to stop them they will shoot.

I'm more concerned when I travel and check into a motel. I’m not interested in being stuck waiting for a replacement.
 
At a truck dealer conference this week they showed a dealership that had 10 gas Isuzu trucks’ cats stolen from their storage lots.
 
Do they still make those alarms, I think they were called passive alarms? Anyways when someone would get too close to you're vehicle they would go off, never have to touch vehicle, just be too close.

Since you put that name up there I went and googled it. Crutchfield has some that will beep ay anyone getting within 1 foot of vehicle and go full out should vehicle actually be entered. That was just a quick glance so I'm sure there's more available.
 
Miller. Insurance covers but not if they cut half way through and just do damage below deductible. Insurance doesnt cover the pain of running around for estimates, loss of use.
I have one vehicle. My 22. They already tried to steal the cat and Ive had it only a month.
 
I have the RCI Skids with the CAT protector add-on pieces. I think it would slow someone down...with enough time anyone could get through anything.
 
My grand father told me years ago that locks only keep honest people honest, if a thief really wants something he will find a way to steal it.
