CEL w/ Trac light on... thinking gas cap

Hey Everyone the dreaded CEL and Trac combo popped on the dash about 2 days ago after a fill-up. Truck runs fine and I’m thinking it’s the gas cap based on my experiences in the past w other Toyota’s. I may not have given enough of a turn. Anyone else agree or should I look into other issues?

That's usually it. You have to read the codes to see what is throwing the CEL.

Yeah that happens to me a lot. But it could be another issue. If your light doesn't go off after a few days, and you've tightened your cap then I would look into it.

On some cars it can be reset by disconnecting and re-connecting the battery. Then if it comes on again, need to take it in for service.
