Colorado Trails???

I live in Colorado Springs .. I usually hit old stage road it takes you all across to victor / cripple creak. Very nice view once you pass horse stables keep watching on right side will take you up to extreme crawl area and excellent camping areas. Some challenging trails. Up there but better have a lift installed before attempting . Not very forgiving ground up there.

If you want an epic route through Colorado check out the COBDR. It's a route for motorcycles so some sections that utilize ATV trails would need to be skipped but the majority is forest service roads and jeep trails. You can make a loop of it by heading west at the end to the top of the UTBDR doing the Utah version of the route south and connect the two in the 4 corners area.

I couldn’t find anything for Idaho. I think these guys are local. They actually drive every trail they note in the books. Quite extensive to make.
I saw this for Idaho though. I think I’ll look up this app for Colorado.

Holy Cross is really good..but it has some fairly technical scrambles, go with a friend. Also, check with corresponding NFS to make sure the trails are still open. A quick shot down to Buena Vista will get you to Chinaman Gulch and 7 mile, which are open year round. 7 mile is a easy cruiser, but it does take you through some private land, don't cut their gate if it's closed, turn around and just explore. There's a few spurs and campsites scattered everywhere along the trail. Chinaman's Gulch is pretty challenging and best done with a friend for spotting and recovery. Off of Chinamans is Carnage Canyon which is best avoided unless your rig (and wallet) are dialed in. You're almost guaranteed damage.
mosquito pass, goes east out of leadville. lots of trails in the wells' books, traildamage, bushducks, 4x4explore, are web sites, bunch of stuff in the hills across from avon and vale (north side of I70) shrine pass road is an easy starter from vale pass to red cliff or vise versa. Ptarmigan pass and mcallister gulch are right in that area also.
