So I have a 2001 taco. 3.4 w abs. How do I turn off daytime lamps? Seems to shorten life on the head lights to have them running all the time. Would like some feed back yea or not.... Thanks

Check your manual. Should be something in there if you can or not.

As far as I'm aware the 1st gen tacomas don't have running lights. It might be an aftermarket set up if it has them. I don't know for sure how you would go about disabling them.

My guess it that they had to run power to a relay and then to the headlights if that's the case. I'd be interested to see what you find.

Good luck!

I had a 2000 taco with DRL. The way I disconnected it was to unbolt the little black button which is under the dash. Lay on the floor and look at the parking brake lever. You'll see the button / switch. EASY!
