Deals you got for your taco

Hey everyone, I'm finally getting my dream truck. I want to get a 2012 or above, maybe even brand new. What are your experiences with getting deals on tacomas and how well you can talk dealerships down. At minimum I want a double cab V6 with 4X4 and SR5 and tow package. Maybe a few more extras, I'm hoping to spend around 32-33k out the door. What is the factory invoice and dealer cost for these models?

Any experiences to share helps, thanks guys.

Woodydog you are so right. I've seen Tacoma's with 60k go for 27,000. Might as well spend another 5k and get a new one. When I bought my 09' the Internet price was 26,900. I got it for $100 under internet price through a work discount. Sticker was 33,700. I got a hell of a deal. The weird thing is as soon as I bought it they put "call for price" when you look online. Lol.

The only thing I can tell you is do some looking around. I used to go after they were closed so the salesmen wouldn't bug me. Find one you like and stick to your guns for the price you want to pay. Even if they have a rebate. I have a 2012 now. They wanted 39,100 for it. I walked out the door with it for 34,200 and a free 30k tune up when time came. I was there for almost 4 hrs though.

I always go after hours lol the cleaning people looked at me like i was a thief

They hold their value unless you want like an 05-08 or older id get brand new
Not always true. I had a buddy get an 07' with less then 36k miles. Older guy owned it. Got a great deal. But they are few and far between like that.

My 06 off road 4x4. Had it 8 years and 100,000mi. Many trips off road and drove hard and still got 15,300 in trade in. The resale is insane on Tacoma

I just paid $18,500 in Dec 2014 for an 07 with 97,000 on it. Ugh
BTW Double Cab 4x4 5' bed.

I've been offered a new V6 4x4 sr5 DCSB with tow and a few extras for $30,275, $33,690 OTD I think I may take it. It seems to be about $1500 under invoice, is it unlikely I can find anything lower?

The fact that these seem hard to haggle and the resale value is so good makes me want to just do it.

Hell, for another 4 more hours, you probably would have gotten it for 30,000. Lol like working 8 hrs to get money off the truck.

Right now all 2015 tacomas left in stock are $3,500 off the sticker price valid through April 30 and honestly that's about the most you'll probably see come off for tacomas
