Cool. That’s a great idea.
I used PVC pipe for years, especially with my catfish rods. But I used individual pieces since most places I catfish the truck ain’t getting to.

Rats. Probably can't use with a tonneau cover? I just ordered the berkley rod holders and then thought of that!?
