Is there a droid app plus hardware combination that will allow me to plug something into a diagnostic port on my 2013 4cyl Tacoma and see mpg and stuff?
However, I'm seeing reviews that claim that some of these products are shutting down trucks, etc, etc. In other words, computer programmers are writing buggy software, as always.
The bad reviews sound sort of like Windows to me: Plug something into the diagnostics port and it can rewrite stuff in the truck's operating system. Ooops! Oh my gosh, we never thought that would be a problem! :w00t:
So, is there a Droid / Hardware combination that's trustworthy and simply works and doesn't cost a fortune? Alas, this might be a rhetorical question.
