Toyota says i have to get my ecu reflash. Is that for real? I replaced my speed sensor a and when i clear it the code comes back on.

Are you sure you replaced the right sensor?

It’s definitely worth a shot.
Leave it unhooked with the negative and positive battery leads touching for about 30 minutes at least to make sure it drains it completely.

Lol. Hard to screw that one up.
The last GM I owned had to have the ECU reset regularly for asinine problems: dash lights staying on, radio not working, vents not working (stuck on defrost), speakers going out, etc.
It was so bad I kept a wrench ready all the time. Lol. It sounds crazy but that would fix the problems. Freaking GM truck was a nightmare.

Jangalang is right. There’s no way a reflash would help that.
All that would fix that is tracing the wire and fixing it.

Probably not real cheap out of warranty. I’d try my best to track it down myself if you have no warranty.

Unless u have a 13yr warranty, the less than 100k miles is moot

Or some other warranty.

Factory is 3/36
Most factory option extendeds are 7 or 10 and 100k

If u replaced the right sensor and cleared the codes.... i dont think the light would come back.

Yes it could be my cluster it self. Im willing to pay 500$ to get it fix
