Fab - Door Lock Alarm

Is there a way to increase the Beeping sound when a Fab is pushed to lock the door ??? As of now with my hearing handicap it's very hard to hear if the doors lock or not. If I'm not standing at the front or the back of the truck to catch the lights blinking I would never know the doors were locked. My previous Truck ( Frontier) had a loud beeping sound when Fab pushed so something should be out there to remedy this problem. Please Advise. Thanks

You could probably use a piezo tweeter from a BMW or any louder car. Unfortunately this simple part may cost more than normal.

Still new to the taco, so I'm not exactly sure the location/complexity of it but I replaced the one on my BMW and was very simple plug and play. It's fairly simple tech, so I can't imagine it would be too hard to replace on your truck. I'll leave it to the experts to chime in.

I don't remember for sure, but this might be an option in the Carista app. You'd need a bluetooth OBD2 adapter as well, and the app is expensive but there is a free trial. Otherwise, the dealer should be able to change the volume, if it is in fact an adjustable setting, but unless they do it for free, the carista app would probably still be cheaper. I can't guarantee, but I thought I saw it in Carista. Just search for caristaapp, I can't post links yet.

The website doesn't show support for the Tacoma, but I can confirm my 2018 allowed me to change settings like the seat-belt reminder and how many blinks the tap-turn signal was.
