It all started from gallbladder stones and one actually being enveloped by gb tissue. Gallbladder removal was bad becsuse it was so inflamed as was the pancreas, and he was full of sludge/bile.
Extreme pain persisted for days, no fever tho.... He could not even stand.
Second procedure to see what was wrong... Possible liver failure and a leak from the original procedure. Stent installed and a drain... Drain pulled 2100ML of bile out.
Few days later another drain put in.... Another 600ml of bile drained.
Still cant stand, slight fever which broke in a few hrs... Still cant eat.
This is 2 week mark, problem of bile leaking persistent. Pain so bad hes hallucinating multiple times per day. Pain meds are not touching the pain.
Moved to another hospital...... Another procedure, 2 more pumps installed (4 ttl). More bile coming out, cannot stop leak.
Gi tract slowed to a halt, infection of some sort now, white blood cell count off the charts, picc line placed to heart, hes still jaundiced, urine is quite dark, cant stand, in and out of consciousness, skin and bones from lack of nutrition, his skin on his arms literally hangs when he raises them. Its sad, hes lost hope. Pain can do some terrible things to people.
He has voiced wanting to give up... We have each let him know its ok but we are still trying to fix this. I honestly dont see this ending well. Really i dont. Even if it ends with him living he has a long recovery and we dont know what the long term effects will be or if he will even be able to accept that life. In the meantime both my parents income is gone. Im on a fixed income but doing what i can for them.
Its hard seeing someone u love wither away from a healthy person to a shell.
Didnt want to write and remember all that.... But kinda left yall wondering, im sorry.
Its been hell.
Ugh!!! I know how hard it is when there's nothing you can do for them brother. Well wishes going his and your way. ~~~~~~~~~~•》》》Hes been transferred to a larger hospital and had a 5th procedure but the issue remains.
Pain is still high, not sure much else.
Very high white blood count, no fever, possible infection, still hasnt eaten in over two weeks.

Thank youSorry to hear this is happening to your father @Bojangles . Watching those we love go through anything like this is one of the hardest things we will ever face in life. Hope you and your family find the support you need and your father finds his way through this.

Prayers for you Bojangles. I understand what your going through. I myself had to lay my father, my hero to rest Friday morning. Stay strong, they need you.[emoji120]Just in case, figured I would share here.
My dads in very bad shape in the hospital and neither him nor my mother are able to work right now, we dont know how this is going to play out but so far its been worst case after worst case.
If anyone would like to help my parents, even just sharing the link is appreciated greatly
