Fox Coilover adjustment

I try to adjust my fox coilover height but I can't twist around the ring on the suspension. I got the spammer wrench that fits the holes. My question is how lose should I do on the coilover rings? Should I leave my coilover stationed when I turn the ring? Or should I completely remove the coilover and turn he ring ? Please help. Thank you very much.

Lift the truck and get the weight off the front end, make sure the threads are clean, spray some lube on the threads to make turning easier, break the jamb ring loose then adjust the main ring. You will probably need to add a jack handle or other extension to the spanner wrench to get it to move.

It is brand new should I also apply some lub to it as well?

If it’s new and is easily turned once the load is off it you don’t need the lube.

The screw that tie up the ring on top of the shock, should I lose it all the way out?

I did anyway when I installed mine.

Just enough so it isn’t in the way.
