FS 2016-2018 Taco Better Front License Bracket

Still haven’t gotten mine installed due to pain management issues, but I can say that the bracket is truly heavy duty. License plate screw holes are machined! Real nice looking. Updates (hopefully) soon.

You would be surprised at the time involved in the machine work for the large bracket. For the time involved I am selling myself short. It is a good hobby and keeps my machinist skills fresh. For money I can make more in an hour of overtime than I make off of 4 of the large brackets. It's not always about the money. I don't get satisfaction working overtime. I do get satisfaction when someone likes my products. Thanks for the kind words.

Finally felt good enough to put that beautiful bracket on. Went on like a dream and luckily no damage from that black lump.

One note tho....make sure you have a plate surround. Other than that, finest kind!

You got the C.J. seal of approval!

What’s the distance between the bolt holes to attach the bracket to the truck?

I’m curious as I have a Mk1 Audi TT that needs a front license plate bracket and this would be perfect if it fits

The Tacoma stock bracket, as well as the ones I make, are spaced 10-1/4" for the 2 mounting holes. If you are in no hurry I can make one per your specs. The Tacomas use size 14 self tapping screws in the bumper. Not sure what size screws you would need. I don't have any extra 3/16" thick plate at the moment but I could probably make something out of 1/8" thick. Let me know your requirements. Will be glad to help. All USA plates use the 7" hole spacing to mount tags. It may be enough room to simply add 2 new mounting holes to one of the 3/16" plates already made. Would just have 2 extra holes hidden behind the license plate.

The wonderful USPS has raised shipping prices across the board. As a result the small brackets are now $16.50 shipped (in stock). I am keeping the price at $27.50 unassembled and $30.50 assembled for the larger brackets (out of stock until early April).
Just a note that I am now working on a new quality grade 6061 aluminum QUIKFIX seat riser design that, while priced in between the cheap basic round bar with holes drilled and the much more expensive cnc billet machined seat risers, should be more appealing and more reasonably priced. New tools and materials have been ordered. I will post pictures here before I run a new ad.

Teaser ad for new product coming approx 3/21/19
NEW 3rd gen Tacoma QuikFix seat risers $45 for 1 seat. $85 for 2 seats. Price includes hardware and shipping.
Made from gr 6061 aluminum with gr 10.9 bolts. Contoured to fit the shape of the seat anchor. The surface is
polished and prepared for you to paint if desired. The square shape provides a more secure surface area than
simple round spacers. Adds approximately 15/16" to rear seat height to level seat and ease back tension.

Love love love my license plate bracket. Post pics of the spacers soon!

I should have all the material and hardware by Friday. After I cut and prep the 1st pair I will post pictures of them in my truck. Been wanting some for a while but wanted something better than the round ones and did not want to pay $80 for a pair of cnc machine cut ones (more with engraving which is a waste of money on something I won't be looking at). I do plan on polishing them to the same texture as the license brackets so they are ready to paint. I will paint mine black later after I post pictures.

UPDATE: I will have 136' (over 1600") of aluminum material, 400 screws (both stainless screws and grade 10.9 bolts), and some upgraded cutting tools later this week. Production switch will be "on" next weekend. That is for small brackets, full size brackets and new seat risers.

New prices including free shipping and fasteners. Note all shipping prices were increased by USPS all in production by 3/17/19 and should be available the first week of April. The seat risers are a new square body design with 15/16" lift for the rear brackets of the front seats. Designed to level the seat bottoms and provide less lower back stress particularly on long drives. Not recommended for those over 5'11" due to the low roof height of these trucks. Made for 3rd gen trucks. Not tested on 2nd gen trucks (yet). Pictures coming soon.
QF-2 License Bracket. You assemble. $27.50 includes First Class shipping and stainless fasteners.
QF-2A License Bracket assembled $30.50 includes Priority shipping and stainless fasteners.
QF-1 Original Small Bracket $16.50 includes First Class shipping and stainless fasteners.
QF-SR1 Seat Risers $45 one pair, $85 2 pair. Includes Priority shipping and grade 10.9 flange bolts.
Waiting on one more package before I start cutting.

After receiving many inquiries I have decided to produce and assemble a new improved version of the full sized replacement front license plate bracket. The new version will be slightly thicker material, providing a minimal weight increase while gaining strength, as well as more mounting height options. It will still maintain the same machined industrial appearance while being hidden behind the mounted license plate. I have surveyed a few owners of the original design, some with over a year of use, and everyone seems happy with the durability, the car wash safety, and the overall performance. The new bracket will be priced at approximately $38. It will also still replace the original factory black plastic bracket by using the existing tapped holes in the bumper. There will be no drilling, or grille removal, required if used as a replacement. Adding this to a clean new bumper would require drilling 2 holes in the front plastic bumper. It is still one of the best brackets designed to prevent damage to the painted bumper from use of the factory plastic bracket. It may be 2-3 weeks before these are ready to sell. They will be available here, on other forums, on ebay and probably in Tacoma groups on facebook. If anyone is interested pm me and you can be added to the priority notification list for this unique proven product. Thanks to former customers for their feedback and input. I appreciate it.
