Fuel pump issue

From time to time I find my fuel pump running when parked in the grauge. Turning the key on then off stops it.
What causes this? Is this problem normal?

Welcome! It may not be the fuel pump. Tacomas will go thru an injector cleaning when parked. The noise you are hearing is most likely that!

U have a second gen?
2005-2015?

If so, it's just the evap pump doing it's self check. It's normal and may happen multiple times a day.

It's doing it's self checks tho.

After Approx 4hr depending on last drive, gas level, ambient temp, and prolly a dozen other parameters
