Yeah, MEK is some bad s***. Mabe its the era but I was around it in the early 70's and never thought once about tasting it. Of course that was before tide pods too.

i was never brave enough to try it. i reckon its similar to M.E.K. (jk)

B.C. youre an aircraft guy, what was/is the proper use of MEK? We used to mix it with waterless cleaner to clean the gun blast off the sides of our planes. Well, and we tried mixing it with floor stripper once to take up the old wax in the barracks before rewaxing, that was pretty much a failure though, it took up the floor tile as well as the old wax.[emoji848]

Ya. We used MEK for EVERYTHING when I was in the Air Force. Cleans hydraulic spills in the hanger, cleans the tail fins, preps for paint, a few drops in the chief’s coffee....OOPSIE!

We never used methyl ethyl ketone. So i cannot say anything about it.
