I've gotten groups of 3 off eBay with free shipping for that, and they weren't chinese knockoffs either. Besides I change my oil once a year. I don't spend my life just aimlessly wandering around seeing how many times I can change my oil.

Already? How many miles on that truck? My gen1 tundra had nearly 300k miles, and never needed front wheel bearings.

Have you lifted the trucks front end to rotate each tire to feel/hear any roughness, or play?

yes, it was all off the ground yesterday, no noticeable rotational noise turning the wheels and no knocking at the 12-6 rock
i did however find the driver side CV axle to have quite a bit of movement up and down inside the differential, passenger side CV had Zero movement
so i have no clue yet what that might be or how to fix it what parts to throw at it

Some movement on that axle is normal unless its excessive. At that point the bearing in the differential housing the axle rides on is tapioca, usually a lift will cause the problem sooner with the need to use a solid type bearing sleeve instead. I think east coast gear supply sells them. At any rate a special bearing puller is needed to get the old needle bearing out. Not an easy job, but easy to screw up.

i put it into 4wd to test needle bearing, which the noise should go away in 4wd i have read all about
at 55mph in 4wd the droning roar was still present

it does seem excessive, the CV movement up and down
