That’s true. (That and the fact that Toyota doesn’t rebate them to death like the Big 3 does).
It makes it better for any of us when we go to sell, or when one gets totaled and you actually get a decent payout.

I’m seeing toyota rebate the 2018 $1000 and dealers discounts up to $3000 for $4000 off 2018’s. Maybe not so much the case for the 3rd gen. I think they are over priced trucks for sure. Comparably they are pretty basic trucks for $40k.

Absolutely agreed. They are overpriced. But for the equivalent Colorado/Canyon the price is about the same with much better resell.
And the price compared to a 1/2 ton 1500 the options aren’t there.
The new Ranger has yet to be seen. I’m curious what kind of competition they’ll give and what kind of resell they’ll hold.
I don’t mind to pay a little more for Toyota because they do hold their resell.
The dealer discounts aren’t as much to worry about as the Toyota rebates.
A $1k rebate here and there doesn’t really hurt resell but much more and its value will plummet fast.

I've been watching a good bit of stuff on the new Ranger and the Raptor Ranger. Besides the fact that it looks damnear identical to a Colorado, I think it's going to be a solid truck.
