Whats everyone think lately of the dockworkers strike? Brandon has the power to order them back to work. Going to be shortages, and high food prices with a lot of perishable items if the strike goes on into next week.
 
Just hunker down for more inflation and shortages.

Ironic thing is a big portion of the workers could be replaced by automated equipment.

Yep, thats one of the major sticking points in this strike. They want guarantees they won't be replaced by automation like in china, and other asian ports. Our country is years behind on this.
 
Our fearless leader just made the vp the port czar while he heads to the beach again this weekend. She's going to walk the picket lines with the union workers to show solidarity. At least DeSantis has some brains, he's calling out the florida national guard to help, so these shipments get through.

Strike is now delayed 90 days for a cooling off period. They took into account what the storm did to north carolina....they need the supply chain to aid all those people that now have nothing.
 
The strike could be left for the orangeman to resolve if elected....who knows? Sure don't want kamala involved in this.
 
Thats what these dock workers are striking about....they want guarantees thats exactly what won't happen. Look at the chinese...all their cranes are automated. Been like that for years.

Yeah.....I really feel for them. Most are making 6 digit salaries (without the decimal points) and they received a wage increase of 62%.

The other thing is most of these workers are driving a machine to unload container ships. Not much effort to pull/push a lever and turn a steering wheel.......kinda like driving a pickup.

My last raise was 3%, not even close to inflation rate, and I'm not close to 6 digit salary.
 
We'd have cheaper products to buy if they were automated.
On the other hand, bringing up 6 figures...where's jay? Maybe one of them is interested in buying your priceless gen1 taco.
