In 2002 I purchased a brand new Tacoma Dbl cab Limited. Had it for 8 years, sold it for a great price in 1 day. In 2010 I purchased a new F150. Great truck, but not a Toyota. Just sold the Ford yesterday. Picking up my new 2017 Taco Dbl cab long bed TRD sport. I am back Toyota!!
 
I'm just a few steps ahead of you. My 2010 F150 Crew long bed was totaled in September. Very nice truck 6 speed 5.4 V8. 16->18 MPG city 21.5 Hwy. Dam good for the largest F150 built. The 6 speed took some getting use to but very solid.

I was having a hard time finding another truck and needed one fast. My friends have older Tacomas and love them. So I thought I'l bight the bullet and pay lots more for a bullet proof truck - 17 TRD Sport. After you drive it a few weeks. What you stated above "Not a Toyota" may have a different meaning.

Duff49 so by your post it sounds like your not happy with your purchase? I am speaking from experience. I have had 2 Tacoma's prior to this one. The first was used the second I purchased new. No major issues. Just wear and tear. I haven't had my new truck a week yet. I can only imagine it will perform great for my needs. Toyota Tacomas are a proven vehicle. Toyota stands behind their vehicles. If I have any issues I will post. Thanks
