Increase HP

Hi All,

Does anyone have any suggestions in how to increase the HP in a 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport crewcab so it’s at least as quick as my wife’s 2016 Highlander? I love the Tacoma. But, it’s so underpowered!
Hopefully there’s a way without spending more than $1k.

You have to spend some money for power because intake and exhaust bolt on mods barely add anything. OV tune is like $800 but people say it works.

I’ve heard that about bolt on intake and exhaust mods. That’s too bad. I’ll look into the OV tune. Thanks.

Non functional hood scoops, dust snorkels, and K&N stickers.
Each mod adds at least 30hp.
If you hit the ECT button with all three mods you’ll break the sound barrier.

Forget the turbos, plus stickers are cheaper and if you can’t afford an oem snorkel just use abs and duct tape

Power=money...both in expense for toys and fuel cost. Drop an LS in it. Will only take a month to wire in the gauges and none of the fancy traction crap will work...but it will haul ass, suck gas and get their panties (or boxers...if you are of that persuasion) wet.
