Is it just me or is my taco really low to the ground?

I just bought a '12 tacoma dcsb 4cyl with sr5 pkg only. I didn't notice until I parked next to another taco that my ride is looking pretty low to the ground. Is this normal for this model? Sorry if this has been addressed before, I am new to this and am really loving the taco fandom I've been encountering here. Any input is appreciated. Thx.

You bought a 5 lug. They are much lower than the 6 lugs(prerunner & 4wd).

Hmm, is there a reason for that design? I am thinking about installing a lift kit (not sure which kind would be right? Thoughts?) but if it's lower because I have a 5 lug tacoma should I even put install one in? I guess what I'm asking is what kind of issues would I be likely to run into long term if I were to lift it? Again, this is all new to me, sorry if I am asking a lot of questions.

The highest you can go is probably as tall as a stock pre runner. As with all lifts, you may or may not have issues. You will lose MPGs running larger tires. It's really up to you if you want to lift.
