Is this Tacoma Tick?

Hi, just bought my 2006 Tacoma Prerunner. I've read about Tacoma Tick and I'm pretty sure this is it but I want to be sure. The video is the truck idling, sometimes it's louder, sometimes quieter. Also happens when the truck is 'working hard' like accelerating down the highway or up a hill.
Any thoughts?
 
Sounds completely normal.

I have the same engine with 125,xxx miles. What is your mileage? What viscosity oil is in it? When was the last oil change?

I just bought the truck with 113k miles on it. I'm not sure what viscosity but the oil is practically new.
Perfectly normal even on acceleration?

i know of a 4cyl '11 Taco with 70k miles and a tick MUCH worse than that recently developed in the bitter cold :confused:
not much help i know!
 
On the next oil change use a 5w30 multi-viscosity.

The 1GR-FE uses 5w30. Its marked on the oil cap.

FWIW, I don't believe you have a problem.
