And I'm just not talking base model. If Toyota gets pretty with price on high side - I'm out. And that includes Hybrid.

To many other vehicles on market now (truck included) where I can get close to what I want $24,000 to $34,000 range.

Guess you are out then, as the current SR5 with 2wd and V6 starts from 33.5 to 35k, depending on cab and bed. Sayonara Toyota for you. In my 40 years of car buying, MSRPs never go down from year to year, UNLESS the vehicle gets decontented, or was very over priced to start. Comparable Frontiers are about 1k less to start. You want cheaper, well, you have the Maverick, a car with an open trunk.
