Just looking for any general thoughts between the two?

I want to get one of these but don't know which one. I'm strictly going for looks and money efficiency.

Both really simple and easy to do. Shocks will give you a little smoother ride but cost you a little more. Entirely your call
 
I got rough country ( not tough country) 3 in spacer lift and it came with new rear shocks for 250 and it rides good, much brtter than i thought it would

I bought my bumper for just under $800 on eBay from the seller penascopoint. You can also find it on Amazon for a little cheaper but I live in Alaska and few people want to give me free shipping on something like that. :)

I believe that the part number is TC-19336. I've been happy with it so far.
