No. Sorry man. I don’t really see any real discoloration in the pic.
Maybe I can’t see it well enough.

Looks like brake fluid to me.

Remove it with a turkey baster and put fresh in it?

At toy dealer , awaiting an answer to mysterious layer of death to my master cylinder . Educated guess , its probably piston seal breakup material or abs pump seals floating up top .

Only time that happened to me is when someone added power steering fluid to my brake reservoir. Made the master cylinder seals and the rubber part of the brake lines to swell and fail. That might be the problem. Some dumb ass mechanic topped off your reservoir with power steering fluid probably.

That wouls suck if someone did that to steeeltoe's master cylinder

I purchased a new 2018 end of year. Before I could pick up, they had to complete a recall that was to replace master cylinder. I thought it was for potential leaks, but sounds like you should have it replaced regardless.
