Has anyone swapped out their mechanical radiator fan for a electric radiator fan? I have a 2.7L.

If you are looking for power gains then skip it. There would be no gains except low speed A/C condenser cooling.

I will eventually swap one in for the low speed cooling. I'll probably go with a Taurus efan and Spal controller.

I was thinking about swapping, but then I don't think it would be in my favor when I go wheeling every week. What do you guys think would I have a problem with it shorting out

I think that would depend on your surroundings. As long as you don't drive into 4' of water you should be ok.
