Try getting a receipt next time, and report back.
What size tires came on the truck stock?
Speedo calibration being off will cause mileage to be off.

Until u get a good reading with zeroed out trip odometer and either a receipt with gallons filled or you write it down, we should wait to evaluate further i think.

Ideas can be spit out right now but it may be for nothing if your calculations are off.

~16 gallons used to travel 280 miles is 17.5mpg.
What many do you want to be getting?

My 2007 V6 got 18.6 on its first full tank. Always fill up the same way, don't top off. Write down your miles driven and gallons used. Pretty easy to do. I use the Calendar app on my iPhone to track fuel costs and in the notes section I document that info for safekeeping.

Just an average for Americans:
$5500 a year premiums with $2000 deductible and a $6000 max out of pocket. Yeah $11000+ a year for health insurance if you use it is insane.

I would venture to say very few people hit that $11,000 mark...

I would also say that Canadians spend that $11,000 in additional costs to live, eat, tax, etc.

Free isn't Free in Canada.
