Multi link rear suspension in 2013 Ram

Just curious as to what everyone thinks of a multi link suspension in the rear of a pickup(like the kind the 2013 Ram is using) Better then leaf springs? Worse? Supposedly it can handle the same payload as leaf springs, but offers a better ride. What does everyone think?

You mean like a 3 or 4 link? With out the leaf spring the only thing giving now is the shock. Which can be tuned and worked with way more than an uncontrollable leaf spring.

Not sure exactly. I heard the new Ram truck had multi link suspension in the rear, and I know most trucks depend on rear leafs.I was just asking if everyone thought a multi link, like the new Ram is using, is a good idea or bad.

I drove one and I didn't feel a difference. I think I remember seeing that load handling wasn't as good.

Coil springs have been used for the rear suspension of trucks before. Leaf springs are just a cheap, effective way of running suspension.

Personally I like the bumper cutouts for the exhaust. It doesn't look redneck like all other aftermarket dual exhaust kits.

They added the urea crap which is a pain in the butt in my opinion

That's pretty much all diesels now since they aren't as clean burning as everyone thinks. Usually you fill it every 10K miles.

Well a little straight piping and tuning can fix that though and yes I know its illegal but hey who cares I love the sound of a straight piped diesel that rolls coal
