Congratulations RJ, the white with the black accents is a stunner. Like you I too just bought my first ever Toyota truck. But, as you see by the avatar I'm on the other end of the year spectrum. But this little mini truck has already hooked me, and I see a new Taco in the driveway sometime in the future. Enjoy that new truck.

Ugh...I was put on the spot when they shot me down on some free all weather mats, I should’ve asked for the bed mat but it didn’t come to mind. I think I’ll drive by a dealer tomorrow to get a look at some on. There’s not much serious off-roading here in the Midwest so I think I’ll be ok there. Thanks again!

I don't know how the design of the Tacoma's are, but I always had at least front mud flaps on my F-150's. It helped with dirt, and grime from being thrown up on the doors. But, it's your call as to whether you need them, or not. I will say though that we just came from the mid west after a road trip in our Wrangler. As you say there isn't much off roading areas, but we took some back roads (dirt/gravel) while there. On one back road I came upon some mud patches after a rain. I figured it would be like ours here in the southeast, kinda shallow. But dang bud, you guys do have some deep mud out there.
BTW, if you decide against the mud flaps you can always try for a trade at your dealer. You never know, they may just take them and give you those floor liners. Good luck.

We also have lots of clay here, 1-2inches under my lawn is just nasty clay! I’ve tried, unsuccessfully, to reach my salesman to ask about switching the mudguards out for the bed mat. I can buy the mud guards for less than the bed mat and I know for sure that I will use the mat.
If I get the mats, I may hold them in place somehow and decide if I’m going to keep them.

That is one gorgeous truck brother. Drive it with pride! If you are going to be doing any, and I mean any, off roading, dont bother installing the mud guards. You'll lose the the first time out most likely.

I just picked up my truck Monday and I’m about to buy some I have tire dressing all over the side of my truck. I saw them on sand stone truck and they didn’t look bad. My taco is black so they will blend in. I hope

I’ve looked at them on nearly every color and model- I like them but I also like the way mine sits now without them. We have some big toyota dealers nearby so I’ve been able to walk the lot on their closed day and really take a good look at them. They look good on black, the sporty model I passed up for the one I bought had them on already. Congrats on the ride!
Also, there is a 12% coupon code that expires tonight (SAVE). I ordered my all weather mats with the code and picked them up locally to save shipping.

My local dealer has decent sale prices online and I wouldn’t need to pay shipping on it (would pay tax though). The mat was $75ish last week with the Labor Day sale- I picked mine up today and I’m impressed. Heavy and I can’t see anything sliding around on this.
