New Grill Emblem

Alright guys. Got a ridiculously good deal on a new black mesh grill for the 17 TRD Sport. Grill will be delivered Monday so it’ll be on in the next day or two.
I’m going to put the Toyota emblem on there but I can’t decide which one. Suggestions are appreciated.

The chrome one measures 11.2” x 1.6”
The plastic with white letters measures 14 1/8” x 2 3/8”.

Thought of that. Truck is silver ice metallic. Just thought of the hassle of paint chip on the emblem. I’m all about low maintenance!

This is an insert that requires use of the current bezel. If you want to keep the chrome surround on the grill use this. You’ll have to use goop to hold it in place.

This APS insert allows you to ditch the current grill and bezel and it comes with the hardware to install and matches up perfect. This is what I used.

Even though these are cheap if you don’t care to dig around for a while on eBay or online you can usually find a better deal.

How much was that emblem? That would look good on my 09

If you go with the Toyota emblem on a mesh grille it doesn’t match up well with the OEM screw brackets. I grinded them down flush and used 3M double sided automotive tape to attach the emblem. It was much easier to center it that way. The 3M tape or goop is the best stuff around.
I’ve never used 3M tape on a mesh grille but it holds to everything else so I’ll see how it holds up over time.
